Chain at work will happen, but no longer worried

In that sense it was worried that maybe Master expected this slave to be able to wear a chain this large "out and proud" (or at least "out") at work. If that was indeed Masters expectation, it would be feeling like it was defeating that expectation if it were to hide the chain. And so it would be feeling bad about the whole situation if it did hide it: feeling awkward and self-conscious about the chain and still defeating the purpose. Besides, it would realize that hiding the chain would not sustainable for a more permanent situation later, so hiding it would just be postponing the inevitable.

This whole train of thought caused the stress this slave was feeling yesterday. So it was glad with a message it got today from Master which certainly helped to put certain things in perspective.
